Special Licenses

Tobacco Licenses

Tobacco Licenses are issued through the County Clerk’s office. All licenses expire on December 31st of each year.

Applications for Tobacco Licenses require businesses to have their exact location, proof of identity, and a fee of $10.00 to the County Clerk.

All tobacco license holders are registered with the State of Nebraska Health and Human Services System so that the State can notify each retailer of any changes in the state and federal laws relating to the sale of tobacco products.

Special Designated Liquor License

Special Designated Liquor License (SDL) applications are available on the Liquor Control Commission website.

A retail licensee who wishes to hold an event off his licensed premises must have local approval from the Burt County Board of Supervisors. Email completed applications to the County Clerk’s office.
